I'm a 64 yo frugal Benthamite Hippie, forcibly retired from medical transcription after a 2006 AVM bleed while supporting my family in a weekly rent motel.   I learned Scandinavian felt making when first-born was in Waldorf Kindy, bought books, watched videos and  developed a fast, economical, kinesthetically satisfying methiod of felting beads.  Current project is felted springtime birds eggs.

My fiber art is a reflection of my tenacious, pugnacious spirit.  The goddess chose to have me bear children whose medical needs bankrupted our marriage and challenged me as I established my medical transcription. service.

My work has grateful dead music and economical eugene weed woven into it.

This year I reached out of covid isolation and taught a feltmaking workshop at Scobert Garden Park.  Empowering.  I minored in women studies, studying the fight for the admission of women to Oxford starting in the 1870s.

Now I teach fab fairy felting workshops some Saturdays in the courtyard of New Day Bakery, Scobert Garden Park and Kesey Square.
